Sample itinerary for a four night residential stay in Saint Malo.
Day 1 - Journey and settling in
Departure from your school by coach for Portsmouth. Embarkation on the ferry and Channel crossing. Picnic lunch on board (not included in the price). Disembarkation in Caen and transfer by coach to the residential centre. Room allocation in multi-bedded rooms, fire drill and full board accommodation. Dinner.
Day 2 - Saint Malo, the Old town and the aquarium
Depart by coach for St Malo, the "Corsair City". Discover the old town and its harbour in teachers' groups. Then, free time for shopping. Depart by coach for The Grand Aquarium of St-Malo. Picnic lunch. Pupils will discover some of the most beautiful underwarter landscapes of the world. They'll discover marine life from cold waters to tropical seas, and dive on board the 'Nautibus'. Return to the centre by coach for dinner.
Day 3 - Saint Malo harbour and the Mont Saint Michel
Depart by coach to St Malo harbour. Board a small ship for a cruise around the bay to discover St Malo from the sea. Transfer by coach to the Mont Saint Michel : one of the most famous monuments in France. Picnic lunch. Guided visit of ‘Le Mont Saint-Michel’, its abbey and cobbled streets. Return to the centre for dinner.
Day 4 - French market and Dinan
After breakfast, depart by coach for the local market in Dinan, to discover a traditional French market. Transfer by coach to Taden. Picnic lunch in Rue de l'Asile des Pêcheurs. Transfer by coach to visit a supermarket in Saint Malo : educational activities. Return to the centre for dinner. Disco party in the evening, supervised by the teachers in charge.
Day 5 - Return journey
After breakfast, depart from the centre by coach to St Malo ferry port. Check-in on board a Brittany Ferries ship sailing to Portsmouth and Channel crossing. Picnic lunch and dinner on board. Arrival in England and direct transfer to your home town.
